A being with hands and feet, but no limbs who fights to protect the Glade of Dreams from evil forces. His origin has changed with each interpretation, but one thing that is common, he has a noble heart, if not a somewhat teenage-like behavior. His most noteworthy abilities are throwing his fists great distances and using his hair like a helicopter rotor to hover, but he has used a variety of magical techniques like energy balls, missile fists, and harnessing the power of magical fairy-like creatures called Lums. Rayman can also don a wide variety of costumes to amplify his abilities or even give him unique weapons to turn the tide in battle.

He appears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U as a collectible trophy and in Ultimate as a Spirit, represented by Sonic in battle.
