A Fox Pokemon, Vulpix is distinguished by its six beautiful tails. Commonly found in grassy areas, Vulpix has a flame in its body that never extinguishes. It can create wisps of flame that assist it in hunting, but are often mistaken for ghosts. When the temperature outside increases, Vulpix will expel fire from its body to prevent overheating. It will also feign injury to escape from stronger opponents. Vulpix evolves into Ninetales when exposed to a Fire Stone.

Vulpix appears from the Poke Ball in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and uses Ember, burning nearby opponents with a pillar of fire.
