EDIT: I finally went back and fixed a lot of things; fine-tuned the background, fixed some of the messy shading, redid the face/eye, added the other leg and added foreground snow. (sorry if this gets in your message box)Fullview, please
So about the art,. .. I started this a while ago and I still don't consider it finished, but it's as finished as it's going to get right now. So, yeah ...
Those are stalagmites, I believe. A lot of people get them mixed up with stalactites, but I'm pretty sure I've got it right. Stalactites have to hold on "tite", cause they're on the roof, right? Hehe

Hi there! Happy Holidays! In the spirit of this festive season, i was thinking I would make a video of Ice, white, and other wintery or festive dragons using a song by Trans Siberial Orchestra. Maybe Charol of the bells, I haven't decided yet. Anyway, I was thinking this beautiful image would be perfect for the video! Would you mind if I used this in the video? It's there. It's supposed to be that fuzzy smear of dark purple. It neither looks like a paw nor even a physical object, so it's my fault really. It's on my list of things to fix.

Umm inspiration ... hmmm I don't think there was anything specific. I wanted to draw a dragon for some reason ... Sorry that's pretty vague but really there wasn't a real reason.

the color combonation and the anatomy, its just wonderful! This is your most faved Deviation, and i'm in agreeance(or however you spell that...) with that term! it just has that feeling with the snow and the... pointy sticky up rocks that I can never remember the names to... that just makes it a wonderful picture.

Might I suggest adding some more highlights around the top of its head and snout? It seems the light is coming from the above angle, and adding those highlights (just like on the wing) would make him stand out a lot more

I was tempted to do that, but I thought that since it's snowing, that should imply clouds and clouds give diffuse light, but then you're right. I went ahead and did sharp light on the wings, so I guess it can't hurt to spiff up the head a bit too. I'll keep your suggestion in mind when I go back to it later.

The colour variation you achieved here is phenomenal.
Really, it is.
Instead of seeing just purple, its purple with an iridescent ting. And iridescence is hard to get right, but you managed.
The sharp shadows and highlights too are extremely well drawn.
Ahh, that is a very clever way to remember. I seriously can NEVER remember which is which. This should help. Tite...to the ceiling.

Well, we all have stuff to do, we can't just live on DA 24/7 even if we wanted to. It's no biggy, but it's nice to see your work again after so long.
Let's get down to business~ I don't even think "amazing" can describe how talented you are on the mane/fur. Probably the most beautiful usage of color and light/dark I've ever seen. (Better than your old works by far!) I love how the feathers curved/folded near the tip. It reminds me of Wing Zero Custom from Gundams... if you know what that is...
I have to say though, I'm only seeing one front leg and no trace of the other front leg... It just looks a bit strange, unless the stalagmite (is that what they are called?) you are trying to draw only have one front leg

Nope I have no idea what Wing Zero Custom is, but I have heard of Gundams. It's some sort of anime/manga, right?
Yeah the other front leg was tricky I ended up trying to do a faint silhouette, which obviously wasn't very effective. So, ummm I might touch it up when I have a minute or two later.
