Is it wrong that i want one of these in real life, like really badly?
I have noticed though, that you appear to have made your rounds a bit large in scaled comparison to everything else, they look like .50+'s instead of .45's. not that i would mind if such a gun actually existed, but i have an eye for scale-issues, and its bugging me.
Either way, its a beautiful gun, i love the way it looks, looks like it means business.

Nice work for the most part, but the textures look blurred and, to be honest, shit.

Technically, that isn't a machine pistol. Machine pistols have mags and clips inserted into the butt of the weapon. Not to mention, with exceptions of very few, don't need/use vert stocks or shoulder butts. And I can't really see much of any difference between it and the UMP .45, except the hand/trigger gaurd and that there are wood or brown components on it...nonetheless it's very nice. You should try doing a Tavor 21

woops...made a mistake there, wasn't paying attention. Mags / clips are inserted into the bottom of the handle, not the butt!! x_x

Do you know what UMP stands for? And as I told others this is just a design I 'copied' cause it looks cool and I'm a fan of H&K weapons.

Of course I know what UMP stands for, however, if it really -was- a machine pistol...then why is it classified as a submachine gun right along with the HKMP5 and HKPDW?

because machine pistol was the classification when they were first made. Most notable where the mp40 and thompson the weapon was designed as a pistol that could fire constantly and accurately. The answer then was a compact rifle design, the stock and longer barrel with no recoil slide. Slowly because the weapons were more popular they gave them the category of sub-machine gun because of their reduced size when compared to a light or heavy machine gun.
Basically the machine pistol and sub-machine gun are one in the same. If you get down to technicalities like nowadays all small arm automatics are classified as sub-machine guns because the sub-machine gun fires a pistol round ( colt .45 = UMP .45).
So, the difference between a machine pistol and a sub-machine gun is that a machine pistol is a pistol that was later converted into an automatic and a sub-machine gun is a compact rifle that fires small arm rounds.
As a general rule of thumb however a machine pistol and a sub-machine gun are one in the same. But, H&K have been calling their sub-machine guns MP's for years now.
I hope that answers your question.

Actually, the UMP stands for Universal MaschinenPistole, it's German. Universal Machine Pistol... However, since we're talking about a German design here it is a submachine gun. They use the term "maschinenpistole" for both true machinepistols and SMGs. This would be classified as a SMG, not a machinepistol. Also, a machinepistol does not have to have the magazine in the grip. The Vz. 61 Skorpion is most definitely a machinepistol as is the Mauser Schnellfeuer-Pistole.
However, it is an awesome drawing. It does take quite a bit from the HK UMP 45... But it's cluttered now. The pistol grip has too many sharp edges and the front guard on it is pointless, only serving to add weight and bulk. The magazine is overly complicated as well (and the mag release is in a bad place). I still like it though, just tone down the technical look of it. - Colt

There was no arguing what UMP stood for so lets drop that, HK defined their UMP and this is a play on that. I will admit that in an attempt to differenciate it from the UMP I went a little nutz on the trigger guard, my apologies. This was done about three years ago, by the way. Concept is a very long and strenious process that takes four or more concept to get it "exactly right."
