Ui, süß, und tolle Idee! Das Gesicht ist wirklich super geworden, einen putzigeren Ausdruck müsste man glaub ich lange suchen, und die Wölkchen schaun auch mal wieder toll aus... Ich mag auch sehr wie die Räder teilweise gar nicht die Bahn berühren... echt schön gemacht!

Hmm, you should have used this kind of style for the contest.
Sometimes I'm too tensed that I forgot my own style too. But don't worry, you will learn how to do it eventually.
Oh, and I didn't make it to the 50 semifinalists too. 
But I think it's very understandable considering there are at least 720 entries for this contest. And after looking at some of the semifinalists I think there are some business decisions to be made too, plus there is also the "taste" factor involved in it. Each judge, of course, has different characters and ways of looking at things.
So, your art work is not unseen. It's just that the judge that was supposed to like your work wasn't there. Yet.
