It could be argued that Jin actually appeared in 2 other episodes on top of her date with Zuko. She was in the tea shop when the Fire nation army entered Ba sing Se, and she might have been the elder daughter of the people the Gaang helped through the Serpent's Pass. She is the support character that made the strongest impression on me though, and that is why she came to mind for today's theme.

The whole Tales Of Ba Sing Se episode made an impression on me, and Jin and Zuko's date was my favorite part. I guess it was the fact she was so outgoing and assertive while remaining kind.

It was a special edition of Nickelodeon magazine. You might be able to find a reprint of it in current Avatar comic publications or on Amazon or Ebay, you know the usual places. I'll do a search, if I find anything I'll link you.

Actually that was my original idea, I wanted to show her shipped with Jet but since I'll draw him anyway later on, and I already used the pregnancy theme for Longshot and Smellerbee, I settled for this. I got rid of the belly, but obviously the pose gave it away.

The pose was one. The "tea for two" comment was another. But also the belly isn't completely gotten rid of. It's at that point where you can't be sure if the girl is 4 months pregnant or just pudgy. I didn't remember her that way in the series, but now that she's settled in Ba Sing Se that might have changed.

I got rid of the belly in the skecth, but the rest had turned out well and I didn't want to scrap it. She might be pregnant anyway, we don't know what's been going on since we saw Jin last
