Klay thought the house had been an absolute bargain, 3 bedrooms, fully furnished with a large yard and on the quiet edge of town to boot. though when he actually arrived and saw what his savings had gone into, he was a little taken aback by it. it was nothing like the smooth talking Tanuki had said, but... he was okay with that.

Sure the yard was an overgrown jungle to say the very least, sure the windows were broken and boarded up, sure it was full of dust, spiders, roaches and god knows what else, but none of that bothered the tree snail. this was his first real home, the first one he had actually owned, he could see the potential beneath the many, many layers of dust.

yeah, he could work with this, this was good, and it was his. whats a few (hundred) repairs and a coat of paint compared to that?
