er.....attempt at shoujo? *0*this was a personal experiment. and if my hypothesis proves true, i shall cry....
a general overview of the tools i used:
-dodge tool
-gaussian blur
-dodge tool
-gradients
-dodge tool
-dodge tool

-dodge tool x 1000000000000000
i am not particularly fond of the dodge tool. but seeing as it was a random stab at shiny perky happy girls with shiny perky happy manatee-platypus-dragons, i had to sacrifice my dignity for the ultimate benefit of mankind. i did it grudgingly though.
this project was actually really fun
took me about a week to finish. hope you like it *0*

I'm not really a shoujo fan, but I'll just say it is more from the fantasy catagory.
The color choices actually work quite nicely together. The lineart is well done and the shading is also good.
However, I find the way the bottom of the dress is standing up to be rather beyond normal. It doesn't suit the softness of the overall picture.
Otherwise, pretty detailing and a theme.

That's awesome.
The cging and the lineart is really pretty and hiro-istic, but i don't think you made it hiro-y enough...i mean...besides the hair shine and the pastelly colors (though not so much the latter), this work pratically screams vicky.
The thing that prolly looks the most different about it compared with your other works is that there are more shadows. That makes it look a lot better, despite the excessively girly eyes, scattered shoujoisms, and prominent hair shine.
Ultimately, i think this, in most respects, is an improvement. I want to fav it, but i don't want to help make you cry...
