I've had my eye on this design of Yuuko's for a very long time. It was another intensive fabric painting project and there was a lot of pressure on me to emulate CLAMP's art style for the clouds. I'm very happy with the way the clouds turned out.
The most difficult accomplishment for me was the wig and all it's extensions and accessories. I've never done a hairstyle like that before, nor have I tried attaching so many things to a wig XD. I'm still not satisfied with the way everything is currently balanced, but it'll do until I can think of a better solution.

Your expression on the left, your excellent outfit, and your posing really makes your cosplay of Yuuko feel authentic.
I wish though you had a black Mokona plushie in your hand instead of the white Mokona.

Thanks! Yeah I find it odd that the artwork had white mokona accompanying her, where it's the black one in XXXHolic. So I just kept it white. Who knows? Maybe CLAMP forgot to colour it in

Really, I didn't know that. Thank you for letting me know about the differences between the manga and anime. I apologize for my ignorance. The reason I got into the series was through the anime and I hadn't really read the manga.
And the reason I preferred xxxHolic over Tsubasa was Yuko and Watanuki's realtionship; the way she was so vague and appearing lazy apathetic, when in truth she did care for him and looked out his well-being a lot. I also liked the way black Mokona acted, very similar to Yuko, which added some needed light-heartedness to some scenes.
(At least in my opinion.)

No, you're totally right for both anime and manga ^^. The black mokona stays behind with Yuuko at her shop, and she sends the white one to accompany Sakura in TRC. The artwork I based the costume off of, had the white mokona by her side. It's possible that the artwork wasn't anchored to any specific time in neither the TRC or Holic storyline. Yuuko is not tied to the concept of time afterall
Her relationship with Watanuki is quite entertaining I agree ^^. Mokonas drinking beer and heckling Watanuki are also welcome highlights.

I don't think it's behind the trends, it shows that you have refined taste and you are a very good cosplayer. The nice thing about cosplaying older anime, is that not every one is wearing that costume (like Naruto, way to much Naruto
