Men who live free in the jungle are/were one of the most common plot tropes to 'infest' the fiction back in the times. Tarzan clones around the world were born and their stories of might to bring fairness, justice and peace to the places they rules were commoplace for the ones curious to see whatever 'king of the jungle' was offered to them

Jo-Jo. the so-called 'Congo King', is one of them. Himself associated with two comic series bearing his name (one featuring other character stories and other fully solo), his tales were one of the many who vouched to tame the jungle adventure interested fans back at the Golden Age times

As usual, this jungle savior rules among his place to stop any vile hunters, poachers, criminals, evil rulers, wizards and whoever else came to hinder the peace. Alongside him, the 'Jane' of the time, the brunette Safra

This one is a collage getting characters from a story for a version of #7 (comicbookplus.com/?dlid=16648 ) volume of his series. Here, Sabra wants to make sure Jo-Jo asks her in marriage to her father, but she runs away crying as he doesn't seem much interested (well, men everywhere). However, an Amazon tribe (lead by the blonde Queen Venon) decides to conquer the village and, to make things worse, Safra got her ankle sprained after trying to jump a cliff.
