Description
Here are the panels 9-12 of a 13-panel story. (Be sure to look at the other ones as well!)It's a study in body language, and the inspiration to draw it came from this message on the newsgroup alt.fan.furry:
"Let's participate in a little experiment in body language. A baseball player is disputing with an umpire over a bad call. How would you draw this little conflict over several panels? How would you position the bodies of the two characters?"

Or maybe...on the terrible realization that he was making an utter fool of himself, he just pretended to faint from heat-stroke or something, in order to save face?

This seems like it was pretty hard to make, considering the fact you couldn't do any thought bubbles or anything. Even though, I can still feel what the fox is expressing. Good job

It wasn't so difficult. It was just a matter of making him act with exaggerated theatrics like on a stage.

Like drawing an actor in a play, I guess. Then switiching the clothes and make him look like a baseball player.

Poor guy just can't take the madness! Was this really drawn in 1997 as the date says on the bottom, because it still looks as good as your most recent work ^^

Yep, I drew it in '97. Though if you think about it, saying that this looks just as good as my new stuff isn't a compliment, rather the opposite, because that's saying I haven't gotten any better in eight years.
No sweat though, because I *have* improved. I can whip things out slightly quicker now than back then, I have more tricks in my bag, and there are some style changes which I think are for the better. In other words, the simpler stuff looks more or less the same, but I can now do slightly more advanced things too.
