edited 19.11.2010 Well, it was about time to do something about this. I was juggling between the options of redoing this or scrapping this too, but then I thought it would be too much work wasted to throw it away just because I'm not happy with it anymore. So what will happen with the whole of Royal Visit, slowly, from now on:

1. I'll re-ink and -shade them, practicing working more quickly in the process. I'll be doing it when I feel like I want to draw something but don't have anything else going on

2. Perhaps more importantly, because I now have an actual plot to follow (unlike when I wrote this), I'll have to fix some things in the timeline and dialogue. Nothing major, but jarring enough to annoy me. So here we are.

ps. Why yes I did trace Varel. Got lazy.

This happens after the conspirators – not very successfully – ambushed Victoria and the others on their way back to Vigil's Keep. Victoria took a nasty hit to the arm that went through the mail, though, and Anders insisted they rest in the keep until she's fully recovered. Unexpected guests then arrive...

This is a first part of a probably three episode comic, more of a prequel due to its shortness. The next one is going to look very different, btw – I ordered a drawing tablet! Just couldn't contain myself.
