I agree with you - but the point of focus bugs me much more.
Also... she has some other amazing photographs up here, why did this one get a DD?

When you describe any piece of great art like that, it sounds lame. For example, you could say that the Mona Lisa is just a portrait of a woman, which it is. But the point of art is to get past that barrier and convey emotion, feeling, thought, etc.

One thing you can't do with a Kindle or an iPad. Although I'm sure somebody will try to make an app for it ...
A real book is a thing of beauty. Let's not abandon the value of having traditional printed page media forever.

I always did this in grade school because I was bored and it amused me how you could fit the pages in the crease and it would look like a flower. Then, of course, the teachers would always yell that I was going to ruin the pages by doing that. Blaaaaaah.
This brought back a little piece of that time in my childhood.

Personally I think this would have been even better if you had done it on a school desk, and you could see the chalkboard in the background, but that's just me and my personal memories talking there.
Anyways, congrats on the DD!! The nostalgia is great; I had nearly forgotten about doing this!

This photo is not really mine because I didn't put there my heart. Probably I can only doing that with portraits. It's just 'some shoot which I took two years ago' but I'm so happy for Daily Deviation now. Thank you for all. Have a nice day
