Well, that's exactly what perspires in this work, for me!
This tight hall makes me feel uneasy. The floor and ceiling seem so far from us. There is some kind of vertigo, too.
Might seem a paradox, but claustrophobia and vertigo are the best words I can find.

Your feeling is interesting, and quite similar to mine.
Claustrophobia AND vertigo seem paradoxical because they're usually associated to physical places.
Think at a person closing into themselves and those words will go together nicely.
