The Element of Courage
I always found it weird dumb that courage wasn’t one of the elements of harmony, seriously wtf? So I gave it to Spike. c: Why not.
And I know the elements look more elegant than this but look he glows.

Fuck the writers why can't they think of good ideas like this or something but no we need more CMC and characters jumping the shark god mlp is so going to fall and burn if the writers don't get there shit togather and then we'll be getting a new simpsons or spondebob soon

I always imagined that if Spike was an Element, his would be Hope, and the only way for him to ascend would be if the Mane Six were totally defeated by an enemy like King Sombra and ensnared by their very fears. The physical representation of the awakening would be through a mysterious summoned artifact known only as The Destinys' Door which takes on the shape of the Element of Magic, it's Central Star (Twilights' Star) stone grey, while the five smaller stars surrounding it (Twilight's Friends) are shattered, Spike's Star is the one hidden behind Twilights' and represents the importance of the Destiny: "When The Magic Falls, The Hope It Nurtured Shall Rise To Restore The Broken Harmony." The description of the Destiny also hints towards Spike being Twilights' son: completely intentional as it makes complete sense.
Least it could've made Season 3 longer than its paltry 13 Episodes, along with paving way for a more cooler and up-front Spike that isn't instantly aced out of the boss battles like the last 3 times, along with developing his relationship towards his mother more.
Replace that "Spike Delivering the Crystal Heart Stain Glass" and add him with Twilight behind as both crane upwards, their eyes closed as the Crystal Heart radiates through them both as the Element of Hope is glowing around his neck.
