Made this model of Kanye West's Dropout Bear for my sister's bday pic .Made in 3dsmax and vray. I used vrayfur for the first time it's pretty cool!

That's just so awesome. I still don't understand the concept of fur myself...it has something to do with nurbs right? I have a feeling your sis loved it
Btw, I have never used Vray before...just Maya, 3DSMax, Blender and Mudbox. How is it to use as a modeling program? Can it read 3DSMax or Maya files? Just trying to keep up with today's programs...I assume you know as well as I do that 3D artists (and artists in general) have to constantly learn new software if they want to stay in the game

hmm I'm not sure the concept of fur either, i just plop the modifier on and don't think any more about it!
and vray is a rendering program that works with 3dsmax and other 3d proggies... so you just do all the work in 3ds max and when you hit render vray takes over and gets 'er done!

oh not too long, most of the time was just fiddling with the fur settings, a couple days at most

the brown fur was done with vrayfur or do you mean his mouth part that was done with a displacement map
