Most thinks he's a bunny or rabbit, but in fact; Spring is a hare, but he don't mind if people makes that mistake. even with all the pain and suffering he has been through, Spring is still incredibly kind and helpful to everyone around him. both his biggest strength, but unfortunately also his biggest weakness. it doesn't mean Spring is naive, that part of him got torn away the moment the child killer took him on and slaughtered those children right before his eyes. and if that wasn't enough, Spring has been thrown into storage and stayed in there for years, and later used in a horror attraction (he got the nickname Springtrap there, but Spring really dislike that name)those people in Fazbear Fright just didn't know that this hare would rather hug the customers than giving them a fright.
Spring also happens to be a huge pacifist, and works as the peace-keeper in the family. however, Spring is so afraid telling his family of what he has seen and done that he often hides away when he feels those memories reappears into his mind again. unlike the others, Spring somehow knows what he truly is and even though he tries to hide it, the others can clearly see it hurts him.
Spring is probably the one of those who are least in his human form, so far he has only used it once on their first sightseeing and when he helped Freddy when the bear struggled with the knowledge of what they really are.
before he was Spring Bunny, he was Martin Fitzgerald. he was an employee in Fredbear Family Diner and the one who wore the Spring Bunny suit. he was a simple family man with a wife, son and unborn child. Martin also have a brother and was really close to him. Martin got killed by the Spring-lock suit and his soul attached itself to it.
years later, Spring somehow unlocked his human soul's memories and realize what he has left behind and have to come to term that he has not always been an robot. much to his huge despair, someone paid the ultimate prize because he couldn't keep himself under control when he realized what he truly is.
