Nicknames: C.C (used the most), Little Shit (Spike)
Build: Average height for a traditional unicorn, athletic build

Background:
Winter tends to be punishing in Equestria, depending on how the harmony is in the land. It wasn’t different during the birth of the extremely well planned and, of course, expected first born of the Princess Twilight Sparkle and her dearest wife, and now also bearing the title of a Princess, Rarity. To their pleasant surprise, not only a foal came, but two.

Twins! Wasn’t that just a blessing? Well, hopefully.

Each twin was named by one of their mothers. Twilight named Erlenmeyer while Rarity named Crypt Charoite. Fillyhood was full of wonders and pampering from many sources, but the twins didn’t end up spoiled. The older they got, the less they wanted to be related to royalty or treated differently among the society.

Turns out, both twins were terrible with the so-called “friendship” in their lives. Erlenmeyer is terrible at cooperating with others, aka an extreme loner; plus, her pessimistic realism over situations drove others away. On the other “hoof”, Crypt Charoite did wonders in cooperating with others, but her reasons were all towards greed. In the end, she was all alone too - not that it bothered her.

At school, the twins stayed with each other most of the time. It came naturally for them to make others feel bad or stupid about their own choices. You know that student everyone hates because they’re the teacher's favorite? Erlenmeyer was that one. She’d constantly fill her pride with more reasons to feel superior and have zero reasons to keep ties with any creature, besides her parents of course. And that bully who ends up being untouchable (for some amount of time)? Introducing: Crypt Charoite. Stealing lunch money, or even more than simply money, belongings included too. Greedy for status? Not much. Only for anything that shines enough.

As time passed, they received the title they’re usually known as: The Shitwins. Spike himself came up with it. Not that they care about it... what other ponies or any creature says was none of their concern.

Which, perhaps, was their first biggest mistake, leading them down this risky path - one that was certainly unlike the one their parents had walked.

Curiosities:
Even though Twilight dislikes the “Shitwins” nickname, sometimes she ends up calling her offsprings by the way they’re usually known by others.
Maybe not as surprising, but both twins have a fair relationship with their parents and love them very much, despite their somewhat reckless behaviour and opposite personalities.
There were some remarkable situations in which Crypt was arrested on different pony, or even non-pony, lands. Rarity or Twilight had to bail their gremlin child out.
Scars on Crypt were mostly related to her hardcore lifestyle.
The neck scar on Erlenmeyer was caused by an accident during an experiment.
While Erlenmeyer has the most noticeable fangs, Crypt still has hers, though more discrete. None of them feel the desire to drink blood.
Erlenmeyer is 7 minutes older than Crypt Charoite. Obviously that’s used against each other often. “I exited the womb first so I have more rights than you.”
It’s expected that at least one or even both twins are capable of magic wonders like Twilight. They have the potential.
Creativity and different types of intelligence were “equally” passed for both twins, though used for their own selfish goals.
Rarity gets dramatically frustrated at the twins often, BUT she forgives them quite easily too.
The twins were both really small when they were born. Sketches showing their smolness can be found here (x ) and here (x ).
