Your rendition of it is very nice. I almost screamed when I read this scene, I was so upset! I really wish Beleg hadn't died...

Again I have to wonder your numerous skills and styles you use. I find this quite extraordinary.
This ink illustration is excellent, and I usually prefer this kind of illustrations in books. This kind of style is also very familiar to me; an artist I personally admire uses similar technique - thick outlines and "semi-hatching" as I call it (leaving lots of white for contrast).

Thank you for these nice words (though, I occasionally work with ink - I prefer colours).

These black and white illustrations are wonderful. I think the only things I would work on would be more careful attention to facial expressions. Unless this is what you were going for, in the Sam and Rosie piece, it looks like Rosie is upset and meekly waving farewell while Sam seems to be waving her off in annoyance. Just be his expression. I think his facial features, based on what I understand of the characters, would be more caring.
These are lovely, though. I am very fond of the composition of the Theft of the Silmarils piece and the anatomy of the prone forms of the dead characters. Excellent work.

Thanks
Rosie - upset? Maybe...
My Jack is musician. This is his week: 2 days together - 1 day in train - 2-3 days, concerts - 1 day in train again (to our house). He often leave me for 4-5 days (concerts, far away) and I am very sad & upset. He too. Thats life...

It's kinda like that Journey song, I guess. My thoughts go out to you both. That must be very difficult. I'm glad you both have the ability to express your feelings through some kind of art/skill. Good luck and you're welcome
