This is breath-taking and I love it! It would be just a bit better if you added more shadows or made it just a bit darker in some places. Then the light stuff will stand out more. I think a dark element will help bring out a better balance, and tell more of a story. Then you could make it darker from the right/bottom right over towards the left and get lighter as you go. Just make the sparkly part brighter and more.... almost angelic like.
Keep up the good work! <3 e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

This is very very very cool. I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like this before. I love the colours that you used, and how amazing the shading is. It is absolutely stunning.
This is a lovely piece of artwork, and you obviously have some majorly epic skills.
I love how the clouds and the ground create a very dark stormy atmosphere. (I love stormy looking things)
Over all this is a wonderful piece of art, and you should be very happy with it. You have epic skill in Photoshop and it is wonderfully displayed in this piece.

The piece has such an immense impact, and for that I am thankful. The artist has created almost cerebral portrayal of nature, the lack of any blossom, the wind pushing the curvature of the tree back, and the linear, patterned routes emphasise the flip-side of creation, a cruel world indeed.
The exceptional originality of this piece coaxes the viewer to empathise with the scene, a clutter of roots and the webbed features of the branches a depiction of the snaring, vile sense of a rotting life, the lack of boldness of the shadow alluring as though it appears that radiant light should be in the scene, whereas it lacks. On a personal level, this speaks a lot about the darker side of reality, the 'thatched basket' shape of the branches direct juxtaposition with the harsh grey tones of the clouds, a basket or net connoting a saviour, which has never arrives as the tree has withered, spanned it's roots looking for sun, only to be struck by the powerful bellow of the wind.
On a deeper level, I'd see the technique; centred and the focal point of the piece, to act as if it is a tree of life, or the remaining life withered, unable to remain rigid in the weather that encompasses it. In the curvature of the tree itself, the flatness of the roots, the technique of a flat piece, the curve being the focal, illustrates how the branches are the only force against the night wind, the artist utilising a distance behind the tree to indicate the remoteness, and how life as we know it is crippled by the unforgiving nature that imprisons it.
I would proceed to say that this could even be a political allegory, the tree the branches of society washed away by a sea of higher power, elitism forcing society to be flaccid and crippled under a hierarchy, but I feel I'm a little too attached to the piece! Such a vision, a fantastic work.

Love it. Makes me think of an early Pink Floyd track called 'Echoes'.

I don't quite know why, but this piece is one* of my favourites from Vimark. It is a difficult task in such a vivid gallery choose just one piece among so many fantastic works. This artwork, for me, shows duality, in a manner looks so simple, and, on the other hand shows such a complexity! I can't figure out where the inspiration on this came from, but it give me chills just in watch and imagine!
Thank you vimark, for your work and inspiration!
A big fan,

I love it, to me it looks as if with that one little whisp of a string, the life had been drained from the tree.
