My responseΒ to the first critique is that the only reason that tiger isn't attacking is because you haven't come close enough to get attacked...Nice work.

*nostalgic sgh*
Shotokan-ryu... The first martial art I ever truly practiced, and the one that truly got me interested in martial arts as a whole. I'll be honest; if it wasn't for all that time at the dojo, I don't think I would have completely kept my sanity those long years. That's another story, though!
This is simply a beautiful piece of work. The building amidst the tranquility of the forest speaks for itself: a place where ultimately the warrior's spirit is refreshed and conditioned for a more peaceful state of mind. At the same time, the tiger walks across the steps, representing ferocity and determination, but because it is not attacking, merely going about it's routine, it is not a violent art, simply choosing to let others do as they please and only defend itself if absolutely necessary. Simply beautiful.
Nice work. I'm sure you're students appreciate it. Welcome to the list.

Excellent work. I used to train at Northern Karate, which is immersed in Shotokan Karate. It's nice seeing this kind of work.
