Lin flew down to the naval base just outside of Angel Falls, wondering what the government wanted from her. They had only said that they wished to test her strength in some form, but wouldn't say exacly how or why. Once she landed at the base, she was escorted to an underground testing facility, where she met with both military and laboratory personnel.

"Miss Wong, we called you here because we want to test out our newest delopment in supervillain restraints. We've developed a brand new metal which is supposed to be so strong that no metahuman could break it. As you seem to be the strongest of them all in town, we figure if you can't do it, no one can." As they spoke, Lin gave them a skeptical look thinking, "I haven't found anything yet that I coudln't break..." Speaking aloud, Lin replied with a smile, "Of course I would like to test it, I'm always up for a strength challenge." With that she easily flexed her bicep to over 25" The men in the room gasped, but quickly composed themselves.

Soon, they led her into a mock dungeon, with the chains attached to a brick wall. They then hooked her up and told her to wait for their signal to begin. Once it was given, she slowly poured power into her efforts to break out, but the chain wouldn't give. Thoroughly convinced that they were right in it's durability, Lin then started to give it the ultimate test...

Concentrating deeply, she brought into play her chi energy, doubling her strength, but for a limited time. Upon seeing this, the technicians monitoring the experiment commented, "If this doesn't break it, nothing will." The general smirked, "This chain is rated for over 200 tons, which is more than she can lift, even with her chi active. There is no way that..." Before he could even finish his statement the building shook with tremendous force! It felt like an earthquake had just hit. When the rumblings settled down he asked, "What the hell was that? Angel Falls isn't known for earthquakes!?!? The technician turned around, mouth agape. He just simply said, "You'll find out in a minute, Lin is coming to see you... "WHAT!?!? IMPOSSIBLE!" The general screamed, but when he looked in the room, he saw Lin almost at the door, knocking gently on it, "Could you let me out? I see a flaw in the design..." As the door opened, he looked where Lin was hooked up previously, and then his mouth was agape. The chains were literally ripped out of the walls! Brick, mortar, and masonry lie scattered throughout the room as carnage to Lin's powerful display.

Soon, Lin was with everyone else in the observation room, the chains still dangling from her arms with the masonry that they were attached to, still at the other end... "As you can see, sir, the flaw in the design is that the wall will also have to be designed to take that kind of strain, as well... Although, I think I might be able to break these chains, if you're willing to give me the chance..."

The general and testers conferred and then said, "Sure, we need to know the answer to that question, since our ability to keep captured villains in custody hangs in the balance." Lin smiled as she re-summoned her chi, and then started to pull. For a few minutes, it looked like the metal wouldn't give, but ever so slowly... *CREAK, WHINE, POP!* After repeating the feat on the other chain, she caught her breath before speaking, "You're almost there... It needs to be able to take the strain over long periods of time, though, so you might want to even double the strength of this... As you can see, I almost didn't do it, but with enough time and effort, I pulled it apart. Fix those two flaws, and if the need arises, you should be able to hold even me..." The men in the room couldn't speak, just gawk. They let her words sink in as they looked at her body. The strain from the effort caused her muscles to bulge to obscenely large sizes, even for her. Her outfit was threatening to burst from the seems, but it held on, somehow.
