Description

    Then it was back to the dreams. Those same repetitive dreams in which he found himself walking across a designated trail. The dreams seemed so real. He could’ve sworn he even felt pain when he stubbed his toe on a rock once. So he resumed walking, as he had in any previous ones. A few days ago he was walking through open plains, now he was travelling through a forest composed of pine trees. He only continued walking because he felt like he was getting somewhere. And besides, he remembered any attempts he made to deviate from the trail
“Does this trail actually lead somewhere?” He would ask himself repeatedly.
    He took in the sights and smells of everything. It was all so amazingly real. Birds chirping and everything. And he always remembered it well. Then he stopped, his mouth almost gaping open. A massive temple composed of yellow brick and ornamentally decorated loomed in the distance. Excitement immediately coursed through his body and without thinking, he took off running. The temple came clearer and closer into his view and adrenaline pumped through his body. Finally, finally something. After over a year of these dreams, he had finally gotten somewhere. And here he was, standing in front of the temple. A strange symbol, about 4 by 4 feet in width and height loomed over the massive door. The symbol seemed to depict something of the nature of a dragon curled up into the shape of a square. He only glanced at it for a moment and put his attention on the huge iron and timber double door. It stood about 2 stories tall. Viktor felt worried.
    “Have I really came all this way to be stopped by a damn door?!” He shouted and as if on cue, there was a loud creaking noise and the 2 doors slid into the walls. “Okay…” He murmured, now feeling a bit uneasy due to the noise the doors created. He sighed and walked in, and after taking about 10 steps in, the doors behind him closed, swallowing the temple in immediate darkness. “Shit... “ He sighed under his breath. Were these dreams going to turn into nightmares? Now he felt a bit panicked. The dreams felt real as they are, something of the nature of a nightmare could leave him scarred. But then blinding light flashed at the end of the hall.
    “What the-” He managed to let out before a booming voice overcame his own.
    “VIKTOR DECANE!” The voice in the light bellowed “YOU HAVE ARRIVED!”
    Viktor stood silent, still not able to see anything and being frozen by the power the voice commanded.
    “BOW DOWN AND LOOK BEFORE YOU!” The Voice commanded. And he did so, the voice overpowering any control of his own body.
    And the blinding light dimmed, revealing a sight that a mortal should never expect to see in their entire lifetime. As his eyes adjusted, and before him, 5 dragons, each about as long as a bus and as tall as almost 1 and a half stories, manifested in his vision.They all possessed their own unique features. There was a white and grey one to the far left, then followed by a brown one, a red and ash colored one, a blue and teal one, and a black and purple one. Viktor couldn’t help but stare, his eyes flicking back and forth between the Five.
    “You may rise now” said the red one in the middle, but in a much lower voice then before. It was the same voice that had spoken first.
    Viktor rose up, his legs feeling weak. “I-I…” He stuttered, failing to make words. He had heard of dragons possibly existing before, but 5 of them stood before him right now. It was about impossible to comprehend. And he tried to remind himself that this is just a dream, but all these qualities just seemed too real to be something made up in his head. Then the red one spoke again.
    “Viktor, the 5 of us are known as the elementals. Right now you are currently visiting a different plane of existence in a spiritual form.” The red one explained some more, the others standing around him, silent, but still keeping intent watch on Viktor.
“Well apparently it’s not a dream then” Viktor thought. “That explains a lot”
The red one resumed speaking. “We have full control over the 5 elements and watch over the earth you call home. You could call us gods, but that isn’t entirely correct. I am Infernose, Dragon of Fire.” He further explained.
Then the rest went ahead and introduced themselves, each inputting a new voice to remember and familiarize with.
“My name is Gale, Dragoness of Wind” The white one said.
“Terraio, Dragon of Earth” The brown one spoke.
“Aquarius, Dragon of Water” Said the blue one.
“Voltrobane, Dragon of Lightning” Spoke the black one lastly.
    Viktor took this all in deeply. It wasn’t hard to remember as all this quickly burned in his memory like a red hot poker. Viktor nodded slightly, as if to tell them to go on with their explanation.
    Then Infernose spoke again “You have been chosen along with 6 others to fulfill an important prophecy that has survived for millenniums. Your actions and those of the others will decide the fate of the world.”
    Then it was Terraio’s turn.”You’ve shown the most determination and will-power as you’ve arrived here before them, completing a test that elects you to lead the 6, whether you and them like it or not.”
    Viktor was still standing there in awkward silence, finally mustering up the courage to speak in front of such powerful creatures.
“I… Why… Why have I been chosen?” He questioned.
“The Prophecy has selected you as one of the chosen 7” said Gale.
    “How? What about it say’s I’m so special?” Viktor asked.
    “I shall recite you the prophecy then. To hopefully strengthen your belief” Said Infernose, so he recited the ancient forsaying.
    “The day ancient chains break is a day in which the world will be forced under siege by an endless war fought between forces of light and dark. Only those with wild hearts and domesticated minds, those who have experienced two lives, may cease this madness. Any who dare stand in the way of the chosen few will be met by an untimely demise. Those who are chosen must set their differences aside and use their skills to aid each other and protect one another like their own blood in order to save the lives of many. Or watch the world burn in this war of infinite shadows”
    Viktor didn’t seem to understand much of it. What did they mean by dark and light? What ancient forces? Wild hearts and domesticated minds seemed to mean anthro… But that didn’t narrow it down much. It could still be any other anthros.
    “Okay…” Viktor spoke slowly “But that could mean any anthro. Still doesn’t say me in particular”
    “Viktor. Remember? Those who have experienced 2 lives” Aquarius spoke “Don’t you get it? The gap you feel in your life? You had another life Viktor.”
Viktor DeCane felt like he had been hit by car. A second life? What the hell! What does that even mean! It explained so much, but it… it only asked more questions. What was he then… some sort of reincarnation? And if so. Who was he. Was he human before? Was he just another person walking the streets? WHO THE HELL WAS HE? His own mind screamed at him.
     “So… So I used to have a different life than this? That's why I feel like I’m missing a part of my life?” Viktor questioned, still recovering from the realization.
    “That’s correct” Gale said
    “But… Then… Who was I then? What life did I have before?” Viktor asked
    “That is not of concern at the moment Viktor” Voltrobane interrupted
    “You can’t just leave me off knowing that I had another life and then keep it from me!” Viktor was actually getting a bit angry, even in front of such powerful beasts, his stubborn-will was showing.
    “No Viktor. Now is not the time” Voltrobane said again
“Couldn’t you give me something? Anything!?” Viktor cried
“Viktor...” A sense of anger was in Voltrobanes tone but then Aquarius cut him off.
“I think we can at least offer you a name.” Aquarius said “Viktor Kiradoschev.”
Viktor thought about it for a moment but it didn’t do much… The name barely rang any bells. The first name was the same as his, but the last name seemed so… Distant… “That was my name? It doesn’t… Seem familiar at all.”
“We need to move on to more important and present matters” Terraio told him “Before we can make much progress, the rest of the chosen must be gathered.”
“There are 6 others you must locate Viktor” Gale spoke “The one closest to you is Vincent Dorang. He is a male crimson dragon and he rides a very unique looking gold bike that should make him easier to spot. As for where he’s located, it’s common that he stops by a local bar called the LoneStar Tavern. It’s located near your current residence.”
“Okay… A dragon who rides a golden bike…Sure... “ This was all sounding more and more unusual to Viktor. He still didn’t feel 100% certain this was actually happening. Plus, mythical based anthro’s were extremely rare. The fact that one was apparently so close to him seemed even more unbelievable.
Gale spoke again “If he fails to listen to you, you can mention any notable features on the path you’ve followed here. Just mentioning these trails in general should get his attention and trust.”
Viktor nodded. It still seemed unlikely that anyone would believe this though.
“There are two more located close enough for you to find. They’re 2 siblings who are anthropomorphic sharks. Their names are Shiv and Maria Rezark. They run an auto shop in town. Aquarius? What did you say the name of the facility was again? I’m failing to recall the name at the moment.” Gale said.
     “The name of the building is Pacific Current Auto. Just remember to explain the same things to them as you did to Vincent and it should likely all work out well” Aquarius told him.
“It is of upmost importance that you locate these three as soon as possible. You must do your best to gain their trust. There are things of massive gravity coming in the future Viktor. You must work quickly in order to gain the most time to prepare. Once you have gathered these three, we will meet with you again here in your next sleep.” Infernose explained. “Then we will inform you on the whereabouts of the other 3.”
“Well… okay… 2 sharks and a dragon. Shouldn’t be to hard.” Viktor shrugged, still feeling pretty doubtful. “But what if they don’t believe me? What if I can’t gain their trust?”
“It is in our will and your’s that they will do so.” Infernose said
“Were also aware of your economic situation and would like to assist you through this. You should find a worthy donation of currency when you wake up. Were well aware of how the world you live in functions. It’s our duty to look over it and to assist you” Aquarius told Viktor
“Thanks… I suppose” Viktor responded.
“Were always going to be here Viktor. Dark times are ahead and you are the light that shines through them” Gale spoke “And remember this. To find out who you truly are, figure out who you were.”
Viktor was about to open his mouth to ask what the hell that meant, but the vision in front of him quickly dissipated and he felt himself waking up.

Hope you guys enjoyed this one! Yeah it certainly took a while to get done XD I had to finish the Redesign of the elementals first. But really happy with how this turned out. Most dragons I ever drew in one picture! Comments and Feedback greatly appreciated!
