It seems that I've critiqued one of your pieces before.
I'm curious as to how quick of a demo this was. 1, 2, maybe 5 hours? Would you be considering a "quick demo" to be less than a day?
Anyways, the perspective is cohesive and at an intimidating angle. It shows the comparison between the colossus, city, and landscape very well.
The colors are well selected for their contrasting and complementary behavior towards one another.
The level of detail is definitely acceptable. It makes sense that you use less detail as we work our way towards the horizon. I will say that the creatures left arm seems unfinished when compared to how it's legs meld with the scenery below.
Did you try to attach those two points, but they were too close in value and color? The linework could help distinguish the difference between the two surfaces. Increasing the contrast of the shadows on that part of the arm could also separate them better.
The one thing that bugs me about this is that I get the feeling that there's some sort of texture layer that's overlaid over the entire piece.
I'm not sure if you used something like that or not, but it really cuts out the feeling of a three dimensional space.
If you were ever to continue working on this piece, adding some terrified citizens would help the scope of the piece. But don't worry, I won't be counting this against you.

A very quick demo? I think you do yourself a disservice. And I love the use of perspective, looking up at the creature heightens (no pun intended) the sense of size.
