Description
So ever since I finished my last video project (Watch it here ) I've had the urge to actually draw a demon from my fictional universe. The video project was just a little comedy skit, but the introduction of the Demon was kind of important (to me anyway).
I don't know why but I thought it would be fitting to draw it in sketchy dark lines.

Demons are not the most powerful creatures in the universe. They are strong, cunning, and gifted with various supernatural abilities, but they are simply grunts to several levels of higher powers. They can be out-witted and killed by mortals, however they rarely appear physically in our side of the reality. They are the worker bees of a massive hive; bred to be loyal and to corrupt the minds of the weak in the mortal plane.

They do not have physical forms of their own, but unlike some of their superiors, they can possess mortal creatures to use as puppets. The defining marks of a human possessed are thin black markings on the forearms and spine, similar to tattoos.

Generally speaking, Demons only work to corrupt mortals, and never question their motives simply because they usually have no reason to. With no reason to stay in the mortal world for any prolonged periods of time, their jobs never seem to questionable. There are some cases, however, of Demons working with humans or otherwise betraying their masters for personal gain. Oddly enough, their secondary motives are usually still only beneficial to evil forces, but considered treason.

The Devil's Contract:
In the case of Rachel Burmingham, a Demon with the profession of buying human souls started a program which would allow for a legal partnership between a human and a Demon, only under the condition that the human work strictly for the dark forces that be. The Demon who offered her the job had done this initially to help him meet his quota, but felt obligated to keep her on his side when the two struck up a friendship- proving that Demons are capable of similar emotions.
