"I'm sitting..." Bumble apprehensively said as he took a seat and looked over at his parents.

Fluttershy was fidgety and didn't seem like she knew how to start, something that only made his anxiety about this whole situation even worse. Ponet, whom his mother had called over as well, stood quite contently, waiting for Fluttershy to start. However when she didn't he nudged her encouragely.
The yellow mare pulled her ears back and said something in a low mumble, too low for any of the two stallions to hear.

Oh this is bad... Bumble thought as a sinking feeling of dread started to make itself known.

Ponet sighed softly then turned to face her.

"Come on my wildflower, don't you want to tell him?"

Fluttershy's eyes darted between her son and her lover, hesitent, but she then took a deep breath and spoke up.

"Bumble darling I'm so sorry to scare you like this... please know that mommy and daddy loves you very much" Bumble could see her fighting back tears as she continued. "I... we should have told you sooner. We were just afraid of how you might look at us. I don't want our relationship to change because of this. I love you so increadibly much I... I... I couldn't bare with the thought of you looking down on us"

Bumble sat stiff as a board in his seat. His nerves made him unable to move, even though he would have loved nothing more than to reach out and hug his mother to reassure her, he simply couldn't budge.
Ponet on the other hoof wrapped a leg over her shoulders and gave her a short hug as he whispered something to her.

She took another deep breath and continued when he released her again.

"You see... mommy and daddy... I mean your father and I have quite a... special relationship. We uhm..." the words seemed to get stuck in her throat as she got more and more difficulty trying to get them out.

Ponet then stepped up and simply said
"We are swingers" Bumble nearly fell out of the chair "Meaning we sometimes meet other couples or single ponies who are willing to~"

"Yes dad! I know what that means!" Bumble spat out as he didn't feel the need to hear the full description.

Both his and Fluttershy's faces had turned a crimson at the mention of the word yet Ponet simply shrugged at their emberrasment.

"Do you have to be so straight forward? This is hard enough as it is" Fluttershy squeaked as she tried to collect herself enough to continue. "But yes, Ponet is right... we are. That stallion, Bulk, is one of our 'friends' from before you were born"

Trying his best to gather his thoughts Bumble then answered.
"Why did you tell me this? What does this have to do with me?"

"Well... son...you see... Ponet is most likely not your biological dad" Fluttershy hung her head in shame and tried hiding her face behind her bangs.

Now in unison both Ponet and Bumble jumped and gave a big "What?"

Fluttershy was taken out of her emberrased state and stared at Ponet in surprise.

"What do you mean 'what'?!" she squeaked high pitched.

"He's not my son?" Ponet looked like a kicked puppy as his face distorted into that of pure sadness.

"But we talked about this! You and I talked about it! Why did you think we were telling Bumble about all of this?"

Without answering her Ponet stood up on his hindlegs, making a dramatic pose as he leaned against a nearby bookshelf.

"He's not my son..." He repeated to himself and then started falling backwards towards Fluttershy.

Her feathers ruffled as she quickly stood up to catch him.

"Ponet!" She yelled meekly.

He fell into her hooves and placed a hoof of his own on his forehead as to exaggerate the inner turmoil he felt.

"How could this happen..."

"Ponet we talked about this when we found out I was pregnant. That we would raise him together no matter what"

"You never told me you didn't think he was mine when he was born! My poor boy!"

"He's a head taller than us and built like a bull"

Ponet seemed to think a bit and then stood back up,, remarkably quick to recover from the news. Like was usual with Ponet.
"I suppose you are correct. But then who is?"

"Well... both of us was there during that evening with Bulk, he is such a nice pony. And then there was that time when we switched with Spearhead and Sassy"

"Ah yes, and don't forget that lovely couple from Trottingham, that was about the same time wasn't it?"

"Right! Mr and Mrs...?"

"Berry?"

"No those two weren't from Trottingham..."

Fluttershy and Ponet had completely drifted away and left Bumble overwhelmed, and slightly traumatized, hugging a pillow and staring blankly into nothingness as a thousand thoughts tornadoed through his head.

I'm not sorry.

I like coming up with strange family set ups and stuff like that, so this was very fun.

Fluttershy is definately the most "experienced" one out of the mane 6 even though no one would believe it just looking at her. She is extremely self concious about what she is into yet feels relief and comfort in the fact that she found someone who shares her views.

The rest of her friends knows about her and Ponet's swingers relationship and were all pretty stunned by it in the beginning. Especially considering how shy and otherwise socially afraid she can be.
Just goes to show that its's always the last ones you'd expect.

So yeah Bumble's dad is not Ponet, its either Bulk Biceps or Spearhead. Both equally plausible
