I got the idea for this picture this morning after watching an episode of the "Powerpuff Girls" reboot, but just got around to drawing it this afternoon. I hope Aku and Blossom didn't come out too badly. I don't draw them very often. All that's happening between the two is Blossom is giving Aku a hug and he's thinking it's adorable.

Another note: Please don't think I'm bashing the "AkuxBlossom" shipping. I'm not. (I actually think it's interesting. FYI, I ship GrimxMandy, so it's generally the same.)

Now for a bit of a rant. I've watched several reboot episodes, so I've given the show plenty of chances to improve. It HASN'T. It's not a matter of "Ack! My Childhood!". I just think the reboot is BAD with a capital "BAH!" I have yet to see them fight any serious crimes or actually put up a fight when dealing with villains or monsters, but I'm just so disappointed with the show, I don't even want to see what else the writers can cook up.

It would have been a LITTLE more tolerable if they at LEAST called the girls' original voice actresses! I'm often left scratching my head and wondering what it was I just watched when the show ends. Don't even get me started on the singing in the opening. Ugh... Lately, I've been thinking that "AkuxBlossom" makes a LOT more sense than what I've seen. (Not sure I quite ship them yet, but I just might start. Better late than never, right?)

Now if you like the reboot, good for you. This is just my opinion. I hope you enjoy my picture anyway!
