It was past Jake's bedtime already and the stoat walked quickly from the bathroom to the living room where he'd sleep with Melissa when he heard a noise in Danka's room. Curious, he peeked into her room but didn't remain silent too long seeing his friend/almost-big-sister pack all her belongings.

"What are you doing? You promised to stay!" his shout made her jump a little, her ears moved up, then slowly shifted down again.

"I didn't make promises, Jake" she forced a calm response.

"Why are you packing now, in the night? Why now?! It's almost Toy Day! I thought we would all spend it together! Why are you---!"

Jake walked towards her and paused seeing her face closer. She was not only struggling to get the luggage to close but also to not break into tears herself.

Feeling his eyes warming with tears, he sat down next to her and pushed the luggage down to help her without saying another word.

If I ever played Animal Crossing: New Leaf, I could say I experience flashbacks from it because I came back to CC to learn that Danka's not allowed to live in Lilypad anymore 8D

And I know that I could make her hide at home so story-wise she'd still live in Lilypad, but considering she still wants to finish her Encyclopedias and go outside it just makes more sense for her to move to Nightshade (even if a bit after the events of Halloween).

Let's just hope she and other raiders who wanted to stay will be allowed to come back someday.
