This pic is just the coloured version of a colouring sheet of " The Rising of the Energy Vampire" a colouring sheet book that Disney made of the episode "NOS-4-A2" from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command series^^I modified some of the lineart of the original sheet, because there were some mistakes and omissions in the pic and then I coloured it just for fun
NOS-4-A2 and XR belong to Disney/Pixar
Original lineart belongs to Alvin & Associates, INC.

How do you do that "grainy-effect" coloring?

Oh, it's quite easy. I used a pretty paper texture; there are lots of paper textures here on DA that you can use; I pasted it on the pic (in other layer above the whole pic, of course), I put the layer on "Multiply" and that's how you obtain that grainy texture effect^^
