There was just so much going on in the episode I couldn't decide on something to draw that wouldn't absolutely kill my hand (and I did want to get a pic done today) so here we go! I might draw something more complicated later though!

Ponies are far more prone to emotional trauma then humans and even our own main six have done terrible things due to snapping, not to mention Discord was ten times worse than her.

Fluttershy, who worked with animals, snapped when the Canterlot animals didn't love her and thought capturing them would make them.
Ponies are much more prone to snapping at the drop of a hat than we are. Let's face it, though they appear in many aspects to be like us, they are not. They have a different mindset, a herd like mentality and the loss of her herd, twice, pushed Starlight off the deep end and Twilight was able to bring her back because of her innate want to belong that ponies carry.
Also, Discord's 'fun' is pretty much a watered down version of a Warhammer chaos lord, a fate worse than death in some aspects given how little he cared for anyone but himself.

Very watered down Chaos Lord I might add. Warhammer Chaos, unfiltered, would eat Discord alive, and then spit out the remains.

When I say watered down, I mean in temperament, mostly in the case of killing. Discord honestly is incredibly strong magic/chaos wise. I think he'd give most any chaos lord a run for their money, with only those of tzeentch, being those of magic and mind, being able to top him if push came to shove and Discord had to really try.
