I'm going to keep the old references up just for the sake of those designs having been used for the fanfiction “Rogue,” but this reference is the currently correct one. It will be used for... other things.

Name - Cutlass

Nickname(s) – None

Species – Pawniard (Sharp Blade Pokemon)

Gender - Female

Age – 18

Level – 51

Nature – Hasty

Height – 1'8”

Weight – 20.2 lbs

Ability – Defiant

Moveset – Brick Break, Iron Head, Night Slash, X-Scissor

Personality – Very independent, adamant, and easily angered. Cutlass is prone to resorting to violence when insulted, and even more so when threatened. More generally, she lets her emotions get the better of her.

Going on her personality and behavior alone, anyone would probably guess her gender wrong. With no female influence in her life, she's one of those girls you would describe as “just like one of the guys.” There is still a teenage girl under all that armor somewhere, though she scarcely ever shows it, and usually only to Damascus.

Background/History – Read “Rogue.”

Habits – Mistreatment by her pack has led her with the subconscious belief that she has to prove herself as being anyone else's equal, and she goes well out of her way to do this. More often than not, she ends up being a bigger danger to herself than anything else because of this.

Body – A little less “developed” than most female Pawniard her age. She tends to keep her pupils rather narrow. She also purposefully shapes her blades to have no curves, save for the back of the “axe” on her helmet.

Relatives/Family – Daughter of Rapier, younger sister of Damascus

Trivia – Cutlass and Damascus are meant to be an allusion to prejudices and discrimination in past times in the real world, mainly sexism and racism (Cutlass is female; Damascus is a different color; both are mocked and shunned for it by the rest of their pack). Cutlass's resolve to gain strength due to underappreciation is very similar to Gem's. In her previous designs, Cutlass's helmet was removable.

Sexual Description – No experience whatsoever. Though she kinda has a thing about hating males (except Damascus), she is still a teenage female with hormones, and with the recent addition of going into heat every autumn, well...

Ability – Inner Focus

Moveset – Stealth rock, Swords Dance, Iron Head, Night Slash

Personality – He is much less ambitious than his younger sister, and doesn't have any of the same temper issues she does, being more able to turn the other cheek and ignore negativity from others. However, he is by no means a pacifist, and will fight when threatened or crossed, and especially when defending Cutlass.

As he is closer to their father (the pack's leader, a Bisharp named Rapier) he has taken in much of his wisdom, patience, and leadership skills, making him seem mentally beyond his years. He often tries to subtly pass this on to Cutlass, though she seems to remain somewhat oblivious to it. He is somewhat prone to slight panic and overreacting over her.

Background/History – Read “Rogue.”

Habits – Damascus can't sleep without some kind of skin contact (growing up in somewhat crowded conditions and relying on the security of a pack your whole life can do that to you).

Body – A bit bulkier than Cutlass. He shapes his blades oddly on purpose. He is (obviously) a shiny, albeit with ice-blue eyes instead of yellow.

Relatives/Family – Son of Rapier, older brother of Cutlass

Trivia – Damascus wasn't originally going to be a major character in Cutlass's story (and to go back even further, I only created him along with her first design change), but I've changed it around some to include him more. A small part of the reason he's shiny because I always pictured him that way before I drew him.

Sexual Description - He really doesn't think about the subject much at all, but when he does end up out of his sheath, he has a hard time ignoring it. He is entirely inexperienced, but understands the technical side of reproduction, and would know what to do if the time ever came.
