The use of how the grid was applied and where really compliments the other sections in the piece.

the colors are drury but me likes...
the background w/ the 2D on the left there is my fave part..
it just is a good opposing color to that of the render's colors...

This piece is good... I actually like the colors. The renders look great, the organic sorta spikey feely thingy... lol But yeah, the 2d's cool. Renders and colors look great. Brushwork's quite amazing too.
