EDIT: There were some complications with shipping, so to make it up, I tore up the base, installed an LED disk, and made it a lot more durable.First commission I've done in well over a year! Like I said, I believe I'm gunna be taking one or two of these at a time from here on out.

I made all of the visible parts, including the glowing see-through clay stuff. I didn't make the LED disk embedded in it, though.

Yep! It's really weird- Atlanta doesn't know how to deal with any kind of winter weather, so it's like the sky is falling. I don't know if we're having any makeup days- it looks like my professors are just condensing the syllabus a little bit more.

Well, it was shipped off normally, but it arrived with the side smashed in, like someone kicked it or something. It was badly broken, so I had it sent back to I could repair it and add some LEDs in the process. They're shipped hardened, of course. I used a motor tool to carve out the inside.

Hey now, the shipping people never read that stuff anyway, they're concerned with getting it to it's destination, in one piece or several. The best I can do is pack it as well as the space allows. But I'll do what I can to fix this.
Glad you got in touch with me, though, I need to know exactly what happened with it.
Is it a few simple breaks here and there? If you need to fix it, I'll show you specifically what I use and deduct it from what your friend paid. If you need to return it to me for it to get fixed, I can do that too. Without any charge, of course.

True, though you still can't blame me for wanting to vent some frustration over this...not exactly the best way to wake up. As for the breaks, the whole thing came as a total mess, most of it with the base, believe it or not, which was in too many pieces to find all of them, so right now there's a bunch of missing chunks leftover, even after trying to put it together as much as possible.

One of the fingers also came off, though it was hard to get a good shot of it...the flash made it impossible to see and even in normal light it looks like the picture was taken in pitch black darkness.

Also, the leg seemed to come detatched and the whole connection between Jet and his geat feels...very, VERY shakey.

Damn, that really is a mess. I'm most surprised since the green wave on the base is steel on the inside, and was fired multiple times. Very unusual. It's like they had a game of basketball with the box : /
But either way, if there's pieces of it missing, I'll have to repair it myself. Do you have a paypal or anything? I can transfer money to you to send it back if you want to do that. I'll reinforce it and make any alterations to it that you want.

From the way the side of the box was actually crushed in, I wouldn't be surprised, though they probably just had a rogue pet detective deliver it or something. I figure it's also worth mentioning that the little black rod used to hold up the wave also came clean off, since I couldn't get a clean shot of it in the pictures.
Anyway, the only person in my family that uses paypal is my mom ( dwatson107@comcast.net ) so you'd have to send the money to her.
And as for any changes? I can't think of a thing. I love the work itself, even if I didn't exactly get to see it in pristine condition. The most I'd do is go paranoid with fragile marked on every side. I mean, it couldn't hurt, right?

Crushed in!? Damn, in that case I'm gunna talk with the post office myself. Might get a special arrangement for it to be shipped to me and back to you on the count that bullshit. Crushed in, damn... It sounds about right though. I could understand a small bit of damage if they were too rough with it, but the black rod was reinforced with a quarter inch of steel armature, they would've had to really try to do that kinda damage.
Ugh, I'm really sorry about all of this. I'll get the money sent to her so it can be returned for repairs.
