New reference for Kath! Some changes here and there heh but I definitely like this one betterAlso I'd like to point out that she's not me. She represents a part of me, but is far from being me hah.
Also what is she? Something along the lines of demon and dragon, it's not really sure.

YESSS NEW REF FOR THE BAB
I was actually kind of expecting lmao, considering how you'd been drawing her more and more different recently.
I definitely love these new changes! I find it really interesting that her design started off as more of a sona, but gradually, as you've developed her, she's become her own thing!
I love the new colours/patterns, I think they make her stand out in the crowd really well. And I really like the more subtle changes too! such as the shape of her horns, wings and the big change in her tail!

Also I gotta say, I find it really admirable how you've developed her. I personally never really liked the idea of me having a sona, it's just not something I'm very comfortable with? (mind you I have no problem with other people having them, but just me personally- I didn't want one) but about a year ago I started experimenting with the idea/possible design of one. And I just never felt right with her, so I dropped her for like a year. But I recently revisited her, and started distancing myself from her, but at the same time I became more attached? and I guess that's how you feel about Kathryn now? while she isn't YOU, she's definitely a part of you, but I can tell you've become more attached to her recently because of it?
IDK MAN I just like, admire how you've done it. Because I've never actually seen someone do that before? so I wasn't sure if it was something I could do? like majority of people are either like "yeah this is my main character, but not a sona in any way", like I am with Banana, or they were like "THIS IS ME LMAO", which wasn't something I was comfortable with.
ANYWAY WTF WHAT I WAS SAYING IS, I THINK I FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THIS SECRET CHARACTER I HAVE, now that I've seen you develop Kath into what she is now! so HEY THANKS FOR THAT, I feel a lot more comfortable developing her, because I see that it's not actually that odd to have a character that isn't exactly a sona, but still represents a part of being you!

Awh that's so interesting, I'm glad I could give some sort of comfort in having a representative character! For Kath's case, I managed to drift away from her as 'me' (although I never actually made her specifically as me, but it was more closer to me) because I liked to think of scenarios and mind role plays or whatever with her, and more and more she became something else. Her personality changed quite a lot, so more and more she wasn't me mostly because SHE'S SO MUCH BETTER. I feel so uncomfortable to say she's me, because it'd all be lies. Like seriously, I ain't a streetfighter, I can't even punch a pillow, but I just like the concept of it for some reason haha. So long story short, although this already got long, i've made her more of a character that represents my determination. It often gets beaten down and demotivated, but it stays there and fights to get back up nonstop. No givin up, ya kno? I won't say i'm the most determined person, but I'm definitely happy with it haha
I think I personally can't really work with a 'sona' aswell. It's just too tricky bussiness. Don't wanna reveal myself completely with just a character; it gets potential of being used against our will (lol that sounds silly); and just people can do bad stuff with it and yadda yadda

I think we both probably ended up with a character that is more something we aspire to be, personality wise. My gal has definitely turned into a hardass as I've drawn her more and more, and that's definitely something I'm not lmao.
YEAH I TOTALLY AGREE. Like if I could draw people I would probably draw myself ya know, but since I still need the practice, I'll settle for something that only mildly represents me. PLUS TBH IT MAKES ME SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN PEOPLE DRAW THEIR SONA AND ENTITLE IT "ME TAKING A STROLL THROUGH THE PARK" or something you know lol.
BUT YEAH MAN THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INSIGHT, it's great to know someone else kinda feels the same about the whole sona deal, so I feel a lot more comfortable with it now! I definitely think I'll get around to making a ref for this chickie sometime soon!

Yeah, when one would use them like that it sort of starts feeling like a furry thing. Not all the cases but a lot of them, and I don't have anything against them, I just don't identify as one haha
