However, I have a question, for step 8, do the colors have to be on top of the lineart or does it not matter? And can you use the magic wand tool for that part or is there a better way to select an area?

when you locked your lineart layer, you can use Ctrl+F to give the lines the color you're currently using. No need for the pen tool til you start focussing adjusting partial areas.

I do the same lineart tricks in Photoshop CS5 ;D It's handy and makes lineart pretty! aliweufhEOF'AA''';;;; *GUSHES* *__*
Then again when I screw up my separate layers then I'm all sorts of mad and then the line art doesn't get colored. hahaha. <3

This might sound weird, but the messiness of your sketches actually makes me really happy. Every other tutorial I see it's always so neat and orderly and I just sit there wondering how they could possibly do it so cleanly and feel bad when mine turn out to be completely scribbly and sketchy and just-- yeah
