Description [Update] Since people keep asking "why not use comic sans?", its universally known as a font that mainly amateurs use. (The image of home made flyers comes to mind) It's the Crocs of the design world, and if you want to be taken more seriously, it is advised to use a different font.

As promised! This is how I letter my work. Hope this is helpful to someone!

My photoshop for some reason doesn't seem to have the Layer -> Layer Style -> Stroke option, but otherwise this is quite useful.

EDIT: I just figured out that it's Edit -> Stroke (Outline) Selection... for my program.  Just wanted to put this alternate method out there in case someone else also can't find the stroke option your way.

just found it now and it's so useful!

and I have to be honest that I used japanes soundeffects even though I'm not fluent...But I researched a lot about the soundwords and it should be correct...so it wouldn't be a problem hopefully right?

This is SUPER helpful, but I have a question!
Why shouldn't you use Comic Sans? I do really like the alternative styles, but why not Comic Sans?

Oh my, when I make my bubbles, I just use the elliptical tool and don't edit the oval at all, that's why I thought it looks so weird.
Thanks a lot for the tips!

Kurz kompakt und verständlich! Kleine Frage: Findest du, dass es einfacher zu lesen ist wenn die Sprechblasen nochmal mit weiß umrandet sind oder machst du das aus anderen Gründen?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mikiko-art In reply to sherryXcherry [2014-08-31 12:20:06 +0000 UTC]

hi,
ja, ich finde es recht nervig, wenn Sprechblasen mit dem Hintergrund verschwimmen.
Hin und wieder ist es nicht  notwendig, aber ich mache es, weil ich es schöner und übersichtlicher finde.
