I imagine they both have nightmares, they both need comforting. These two can understand what the other one went through the best because of what each experienced with Riddle. It's part of what makes them equals.

Quite beautiful, there isn't much Harry x Ginny out there; apparently, many people don't like Harry x Ginny for some reason. I'll agree that their relationship could've been better developed but to be honest, they were actually one of the few things I liked in the 6th book. The title is interesting because it's like Harry is asking Ginny to save him from the darkness that's consuming him. It shows that even though Harry is supposed to be the hero, he is vulnerable and needs saving. The darkness could refer to depression, which Harry struggled with in his teens and probably as an adult as well and needs Ginny to save him from his depression. It's possible he had a nightmare too and she's comforting him.

I think that a lot of people who don't like the Hinny (Harry x Ginny) ship are people who've only watched the movies and haven't read the books. I think she's actually quite good for Harry because their personalities would balance each other out. She's strong and would be very good at listening to him or talking to him about his worries (like in that scene from the Order of the Phoenix book in the library.) She also had a run-in with Tom Riddle, so I think they would definitely be able to understand each other a bit. I dunno why Ginny gets so much hate...she is one of my favorite characters (in the books, at least.) I was so disappointed with the writers and how they portrayed her character in the movies; nothing against Bonnie, though.

I find it kind of weird how popular the pairings are because Draco and Harry were rivals/enemies and Harry said that Hermione was like his sister.

I agree! Draco and Harry would never work, not just because they're both straight (probably) but also because they hated each other throughout most of their youth. And like you said, Hermione will always be a true friend to Harry, and him to her, but I think it would be too cliche if they had gotten together.
