Thanks! Yeah, I did the tree way before the rest of the piece, then added in a background so I could call it done and post it. Woulda been a waste of a tree not to finish it!

My dad did bonsai for years, and trees that echo those lines (making the trees look natural in a very unnatural way, if that makes any sense) really appeal to me. I would totally have my own, but my black thumb and cats don't allow it. So instead, i have bonsai sculptures from my brother.
