Backstory: (really long)

Long, long ago, there were two creatures who were the best of friends. One of them was the young princess of the sun, and she was only about 100 years old. The other was the spirit of chaos. As they grew up, they were seperated by their differences, but they managed to still hang out and have fun.

When a few thousand more years passed, the chaotic one grew feelings for the sun princess. He tried to ask her to marry him, but unfortunately, the ponies hated chaos and they kept him away from the castle at all times. Luckily, the sun princess liked the spirit of chaos too, but as she explained that to the guards, they forbade her from meeting with him again, for fear that she might be injured.

Hundreds of years passed, and the spirit of chaos could not take it anymore. He and the sun princess met up in the middle of the night in his realm, and they had a secret wedding. Not much after that, they had a child together, and they named her Lupin.

Unfortunately, as society grew, the child was suddenly discovered by the public. They tried to kill her and they stormed the castle, as the spirit of chaos fled for his life. During all the commotion, the sun princess managed to trap her twelve year old child in a bubble, and lowered her into the ground, sealing the earth above her. The princess knew that she would never see her child again.

The spirit of chaos suffered bad bruises from the mob, but he still loved the princess. But the princess sadly broke the truth to him: if they remained together any longer, the ponies of Equestria would surely kill them both. They got divorced a few months later.

As time went on over the thousands of years, the sun princess went on with her royal duties and the spirit of chaos stayed in his realm, causing chaos now and then. He eventually found a new love, the element of kindness. But the daughter, she had long been forgotten.

Until one day, she was found. A group of unicorns were trying to discover fossils in various parts of Canterlot. They dug down deep, and discovered the bubble. They brought it to the science lab, where another group of unicorns helped that group carefully remove the years of dirt and dust covering the bubble. To their surprise, a pony was trapped inside. It was Lupin, and she had hardly aged, but she had been trapped for thousands of years. The scientists tried to pop the bubble, an finally, a unicorn named Pokey Pierce finally popped it. Lupin was jolted out of her deep sleep.

After she told her story to the unicorns, they took her to meet the sun goddess who now ruled more of Equestria. She, Lupin, and the spirit of chaos, her father, had a talk together, and then they decided that they couldn't let Lupin live with them. Lupin was furious at them, and the two parents now had families of their own. So Lupin was sent off to Ponyville to get a life of her own. She mostly stays in her pony form, not her draconequus form, so to not attract attention.
