That's an interesting concept! ^^ I like the way how they have a ring of fur of certain color around their paw pads that determine which tribe they belong to. ^^ Can't wait for the new species! Also, I wonder how a shadow tribe wolf would stand against my fursona (the Sun Wolf). xD

thank you! no not yet, they weren't really designed to be a diverse species, but that is because there are nine tribes, this is only one of them, each tribe is unique in its own way, so its pretty hard to make them diverse when you need to spread traits throughout nine different species XDXD
these are the nine:
Shadow Tribe
Fire Tribe
Ice Tribe
Desert Tribe
Sun Tribe
Water Tribe
Storm Tribe
Forest Tribe
Wind Tribe
shadow tribe isn't as diverse as the others, the other tribes have a LOT more variety, shadow tribe wolves don't really, they can have any kind of grey, black (and rarely white) natural looking pelt marking but not much more than that lol. I can't wait till I get around to doing the Ice Tribe, they freeze their fur so that it is sharp like knives, and they do the same to their teeth and claws to extend them (but only during battle XD)

It is just a really common concept, elemental tribes fighting, so they need more diversity to differentiate from the others is needed. Otherwise, it can seem unoriginal. I am happy to bounce ideas off of, as I love writing and creating species. Suppose the wolves are nocturnal (forgive me if they are and I missed that) making their enemies living in neighboringΒ territories tense at night. It would give a meaning to pups being afraid of their shadows and their mothers telling them to go to the den or they shadows will eat them. Maybe the shadow wolves have larger denser fur for the chill of night.Β

I need as many ideas as you can possibly give me ^^
some ideas I need are what I'm going to call the entire species, the separate species are like shadow, fire, forest, desert, sun exec, but I need a name for the entire species if you know what I mean XD I also need ideas for strengths and weaknesses, for example, shadow tribe is weak agains sun tribe attacks (Light energy) and fire is strong against forest and weak agains water, and ice tribe is strong against forest and is even with fire. forest is strong against storm tribe and weak to fire and ice... I still need to figure all this out
here is what I've got on them for now:
Shadow Tribe:
appearance:
short thick furred black or grey pelts, sometimes have markings in either grey, black or rarely white, pale glowing eyes, star like particles that dance around their bodies (this is not very common), males tend to have longer fur than females, short fur is common on both genders.
Skills:
Stealth, Fighting, can see in the dark (nocturnal)
Powers:
Dark/Shadow energy, it is a powerful attack and can be used at both long distance and short, is kind of looks like a solidish sort of smoke or flame, only black with either purple or red in it. it does physical damage at an extensive rate, and is very strong, it can also do mental damage and make the enemy go temporarily mad/insane. it is weak against light energy.
colour of fur around pads:
white (the fur around their pads is significant, each tribe has a different colour on their pads to show which tribe they are from.)
I'm going to be making a group for the tribes, I just need to make guides, refs and adoptable first XD or I can just make the group and add to it later lol
