The African forest elephant is one of the two living African elephant species. It is native to humid forests in West Africa and the Congo Basin. It is the smallest of the three living elephant species, reaching a shoulder height of 2.4 m.

I was not sure about drawing this one when I started, given the complex texture of the skin. But sometimes the more challenging the reference the better is the output. Probably my most enjoyable artwork of recent times. I did not feel like stopping. Enjoy (A5 on art paper).
