Another of my old time favorites, showing Vladimir in a Roman helmet. I've got three similar ones, (including one with a helmet bush with alternately dark and blond hair) and a so-called ‘lorica segmentata’ body harness too, I’ve done some posing shots in them, some years ago. I love this Roman body armour, as I like the Spartan helmets and (scarce) body wear too! Maybe you could call it some kind of a fetish? I’m not into re-enactment though.

As I'm currently reading a book about the roman legions i thought i would point out that evidence would suggest that this is a legionary's helmet and not a centurion's... the crest ran from ear to ear for a centurion and nose to neck for a legionary (although i seem to recall something about the Praetorian Guard doing something weird too, but cant find reference to it now).
Anywho - as for the photo - nice shot and lighting, however, from the thumb the left cheek guard stood out and looked like a pointy beard... on closer inspection it takes away from the rest of the image as it is the brightest spot in the centre yet should only be *part* of the subject and not detract from the lines you are creating. Maybe attach a piece of shaped black cloth to stop the reflection while still maintaining the outline of the metal and give some contrast to the lines of the face?

You've Out done yourself! The use of both light and shadow showcase him in an eerie almost mystical manner giving this image a very Powerful feel!
That flash of color from the crest of the helmet with red plume and the golden and chrome sheen off of the helmet as well with the shadowing all Perfection!

This is brilliant. I've been watching your work for a while, and this has to be my favourite so far. The silhouette is absolutely perfect! As someone else stated, however, the framing could be a little different so the helmet wouldn't be cut off. Still, this is a terrific photograph.
I was going to suggest this as a Daily Deviation, but I noticed another of your photographs has been awarded last month, so there isn't much I can do but wait. :c

I like the profile, but I think you used too much shadow. I can hardly see the body or the face. That may have been the intent, but it seems a little over the top.

Andrei, this image is outstanding!
The light, the shadows, the concept... It is all brought up to magnificence!
My only regret is that the framing is a bit off, where the back of helmet is being cut off, but other then that, as I said before, it is outstanding.
The more I look at the more I like it, and to be honest, it feels extremely sensual, even more sensual the semi-nudes and nudes all together!
