It's well done. I appreciate realism in art. The level of contrast is very good, the gradations of tone are excellent. I'm not sure I like the incompleteness to the side and bottom - it has good and bad things about it. Sometimes that device works, though, so it was worth the effort. it certainly deepens the contrast. The eyes and mouth are wonderfully expressive.
I hope this is what you wanted - critiques on dA are little more then flattery fests and aren't really critiques at all, so I hoped I helped. Just my humble opinion naturally.
