Junji Ito is a master. I'm not big into manga overall but I adore his stuff. I had the thing for spirals before Uzumaki so I was all over it.

haha, I can guess ! I found it randomly, when I was a kid, there was Virgin bookshop next to my school, and I used to go there between classes, at lunchtime, to read comics and mangas without buying them ^ ^
and one day I find Spiral... AND I WAS TRAUMATIZED... and fascinated... and scared... but still, I couldn't stop reading that, and re-reading XD and then I was freakin scared of spirals ^ ^ but then, only the impression of the great art remained as I grew up
