Damn, I riddled this with too much symbols. Here is explanation:

COLOURING:
-Grey is for normal world, colour for Wonderland. Sure, Wonderland is more interesting-but there isn't right and wrong.
-Characters are coloured outside lines-for this is only one, temporal shape, and many more others dreamed up.
-Not all spaces are coloured-some are intentionally left white. Idea for one possible interpretation is that Alice dreams, so false things manifest as holes in colouring, as dreamy mind isn't really concentrated.
-There are vague shapes in Chesire cat. Idea is that he witnessed all of Wonderland's history ( and may be in some way, manifestation of land itself, or it's inhabitant's remaining sanity).
-For same reason, all characters are contained within him.
Drawing:
-My wish was to make Wonderland characters to be creepy and inhuman. But I couldn't draw them as Lovecraftian squids, so i got idea-characters that superficially look human, but give off inhuman vibe-reflected in screwed anatomy.
- So, most of characters are based of dolls and items-Queen of Hearts is based off one doll, that I found creepy because it has fat, baggy, muscly arms with no elbows. Cook-one that is beuge, with holes and 6 fingers- is based on my mom's pepper bottle, Red and White Queens are based off my chess pieces, and so on. Griffon is exception-I imagined his crazy, barely bird-and -lion-design alone.
- Extremely crazy characters, like Queen of Hearts and and Hatter have only pupils. Sane characters, like White Queen, have eyeballs but no irises, as they have their quirks Chesire Cat has all of it, but it's different-both him being cat, and because he is tainted with insanity ( and his sanity is strange, dangerous sort).
-Alice's sister looks more human than others, but as she is slowly changing, her body is positioned in unproportional ways.
-Alice's old body is showed, as is her middle age head, but only vague lines of her young form, as it is overdone, and well, up to everybody to imagine.
'' Oh Alice, dear Alice-what did you expect? In sidhe hill you fell, those changed by catsith's magic you joined. Did you forget stories, stories where time passes differently, and when they leave, stories how age catches up with them, and if too long, their body turns to ashes? Your sister sits in fairy ring,changed and warped by it's unnatural power. Oh sweet, poor, silly little mad Alice!''

Long ago, fey left world. but one remained, for it couldn't part from this world, to one where is no sanity or madness. Humans fell in abandoned hall, and their emotions charged and gave shape to little pocket dimension. They built roles for themselves, and slowly went mad. And insanity infected cat.

About piece, well you saw story. But is it true? Maybe Alice fell and only dreams-why would there be white holes in people and surroundings? Her sister, understandabely, fell in depression. Hey wait, what's that cat doing there?
