When I saw your seagull double frame [link] I thought "this would be a cool idea for a portrait"
It's a pity that the one in the middle is blurred, and a bit distracting that the right frame is higher than the other two and that the borders around the set are of uneven width. But apart from that it's a great composition.

I was pretty disappointed that the middle turned out blurred, but I decided to keep it anyway! The borders are even now, I think...I must have wonky eyes!

I know what you mean. I played around with my new digicam last night - my first autofocus camera ever! - and had to learn that the focus sometimes just goes random while the display is far too small to notice it.
On the other hand I have enough photographs from my manual SLR camera that are mis-focused because it was so dark that I could not see what I was doing in the viewfinder, so I should not complain.
