Description My entry for the weekly contest : It's A Weapon.
I don't have much to say about this artwork. You can see a [TT] tactical tank engaging on the battlefront. I am very satisfied with the result

This thing looks unnecessarily tall, which would make it easy to spot on most battlefields. The only battlefield that I could see it doing well at would be inside a dense urban environment full of buildings that are at least 2 stories tall.

It's impressive from a technical and stylistic standpoint, but not so much from a mechanical or design one.

This baby's gonna constantly get tracked and immobilized.

It does not need to move around much on the battlefield, the legs are just for show
*No IΒ΄m kidding... please explain why?

Colonel-Eviscerator In reply to visual-machine [2013-06-02 20:20:05 +0000 UTC]

...Because the tracks are vulnerable. WWI-era track configurations have evolved into skirted designs to prevent losing a tread and to preserve mobility.

Why is it called tactical tank if it's not a tactician?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

visual-machine In reply to MrZombieBiscuit [2013-02-09 22:51:42 +0000 UTC]

Oh, because the original idea (based on the sketch) was, that the tank can transform into a stationary heavy damage defense or attack tower.
