Thsi is a wonderful, clean, elegant style that uses the dark and light elements perfectly. I have a thing for the contrasts between grey, black and white and this is exactly the theme I have been looking for to tie everything up nicely. Well done sir!

A simple, good looking dark theme that elegantly blends white and black backgrounds in a way that's sure not to be a strain on your eyes in dark environments; awesome. Generally this would have been a theme that I would have skipped over, but after searching for a decent looking dark theme that didn't look like it was designed by a 12 year old dreaming of being in graphic design (OK maybe that was a bit harsh o.o), Cimmerian fit the bill perfectly and now remains my default theme.
Overall this theme has a very complete feel it and, unlike some other black/dark themes, it can be used for extended periods of time even during the day (nuuu, sun!!) without becoming annoying or feeling cramped. The basic theme also has a decent feel to it just so long as you stay away from the unskinned start menu (which features white text on a white background for the recent programs list). This generally isn't a problem though unless you (like me) use programs that force windows to revert to basic mode.

Thanks for the kind words, this was my second dark theme, I have some improvements ideas, but still waiting to get motivated to do them. Dark themes are not easy to do and take a lot of time, but eventually I work on another.

that's very true i made only dark visual styles these days took me about a year to master dark skins i learned how to from Mr.Grim and NOFX1994 and imo they are way harder than light themes

I do not know for sure if this was related, but shortly after installing only the theme files the McAfee on my win 7 pc disabled service, could not restart, had to perform a system restore. But, ran the scan twice and no virus or anything else found. Also deleted all but the most recent restore point. Could be a coincidence...

Well, I have installed a lot of styles in my time and not once has any messed up my computer, now system files is another story.

Since I Like dark solid themes, I downed it, scanned with McAfee and on another machine with Norton and they found nothing. I'm gonna give this a try.

I just scanned the entire cimmerian folder with malwarebytes and microsoft essentials and did find anything. Here is the report!

Well, I don't know what to tell you, I been using the same shellstyle and msstyle for about two years and have had no problems or complaints and I just tested it with superantivirus also. Another guy tested it also and got nothing. I will continue looking into it though. Thanks for the input.
