That would make a very cute necklace. Make it out of clay or something and paint the speckles to make it more like a real apple

I love the composition of this piece. It intrigues me. The chains add a nice touch to the image as a whole kind of how we are bound to the truths of who we are and who we wish to be... Congrats on the DD I think it was a well picked choice.

What ever the hanging thing on her shirt is, its distracting, so maybe next time choose a less interesting background to keep the interest on the subject.

It's a nice idea and all...but an idea which has been so very played out. There are dozens of pictures on dA of people who've stapled, sewn, skewered apples of multiple colours together, and a couple where people mix different fruits.
That being said, I'm not sure why this got a DD, when daily deviations are supposed to be about showcasing the best, which this is not.

My first thought when viewing this piece was, "there are at least two sides to the truth". I'm guessing that's exactly what you were going for, particularly with regards to the dreams and reality aspects, as mentioned.
Honestly, this is one of the best pieces of artwork I've ever seen. The chains binding the hands seems to indicate the hands of fate and/or time, and they are bound to present the truth in it's purest form. It's the perceptions of humans that convolute and change the truth, forcefully evolving truth into an entirely new point of view, and to me, this is represented in the Apple being two separate pieces, stapled together. Only in our dreams could the concept of truth be presented in a form such as this, and be more then a concept.

You have used the colors in a smart way, red and green are very strong like opposites, and the neuter colors of the second plane, give more interest to the apple.

this reminds me of a remake of snow white i watched with my mum some years back, the wicked step mother handed snow white a apple with on side red one side white, she ate the white side, snow ate the red. this is truly a wonderfull work of art and gives you a lot to think about,
