I'm not sure why I like this so much... there's just that something extra I can't grasp. It's very sweet and has a home-y feeling.

Oh, that's lovely. This seems to be a very... 'busy' sort of area, setting and I like how you've used black and white to bring more of it all together here. His pose is so natural, and relaxed - did he even know you were taking this?
Nice job shooting into such a strong light source though, keeping some of the background through the window and the shadows of the blinds being casted on the floor is a very interesting touch
